New Years Eve At Merchants Tavern

On New Year’s Eve we’re saying goodbye to 2017 with a five-course
set menu from Neil – join us for the feast!

Afterwards keep the party going over in the where we’re heralding in 2018 with DJ’s Mr Black, Simon Martin & Dr Em on the decks till 2am.

New Years Eve Menu

Sausage rolls / Haggis Croquettes / Parmesan shortbread.

Pressed ham hack, confit chicken, toasted sourdough, piccalilli.
Roasted autumn vegetable salad, cashew hummus, curry dressing.
Wild boar tagliatelli, parmesan, parsley.
Cured salmon, potato salad, dill crème fraîche.
Pumpkin soup, blue cheese, croutons.

Côte de boeuf, fries, bearnaise sauce, green salad (for two).
Roasted cod, green sauce, braised fennel, red pepper stew.
Roast red deer haunch, braised red cabbage, juniper crumb.
Lemon sole, capers, brown butter, lemon, parsley.
Carnaroli risotto, gorgonzola, apple, walnuts.

Quince trifle.
Apple & blackberry tart, pistachio ice cream.
Bean-to-bar chocolate mousse, pouring cream.
Bread & butter pudding, custard.
Gingerbread, butterscotch sauce, vanilla ice cream.

Cheese platter from la fromagerie.
